A training seminar on "Preparing school leavers for the profession" was held
With the support of the Center for Innovation, Technology and Strategy at the Ministry of Public Education, the first training workshop of the Fergana Provincial Branch of the "Association of Teachers" Public Association was held.
The training was held in Fergana City at the initiative of the Fergana Provincial Branch of the Public Association "Teachers Association" on the basis of grants from the Teacher Associations Support Program under the project "Empowering Independent Teacher Associations in Uzbekistan" funded by the European Union grant for 2022 and was dedicated to "Professional training of school graduates in the Fergana Province".
The training workshop was attended by 70 school psychologists and vocational guidance counselors from Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana provinces, as well as officials from the Department of Public Education of Ferghana province. M. Mamadalieva, Chair of the Fergana Regional Branch of the Association of Teachers, and R. Torakhujaeva, Senior Lecturer of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, acted as trainers.
The main part of the event was aimed at "Career guidance for teachers on employment of high school students in Uzbekistan and around the world and increasing their knowledge in this field". - as well as increasing their knowledge in this field. Also, the teachers were provided with information and recommendations on modern methods of professional training of high school graduates. In addition, the participants of the training were introduced to the educational platform prof.maktab.uz, as well as were given instructions on how to effectively use this platform and what its capabilities are.
At the same time, the agitation work was carried out to attract all teachers of the region to the trainings organized by the Association, to popularize their activities, raise their status and the number of members.
At the end of the seminar-training, the heads of departments of Public Education of Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions were given 6,000 instructional booklets on "Employment in Uzbekistan and all over the world", developed in cooperation with the Center for Innovation, Technology and Strategy of the Ministry of Public Education and UNESCO organization.
The project "Empowerment of Independent Teachers Associations in Uzbekistan", implemented by the Center for Innovation, Technology and Strategy, is funded by the European Union and supports the creation and functioning of associations in order to increase the prestige of teachers in society, strengthen social protection, improve legal literacy, and develop their professional potential.
